back at home
Well, kind of at home. Back in Hatboro at least. The landlord is starting week 4 of having my bathroom torn out. It's coming together, but taken time waiting for the plumber (who ran hot water to the toilet and needs to come back) and the electricians (2 - one who never showed up, one who promised to show up, then didn't, then did).
I'm glad it's not my project. It is my problem, though, as I have no shower/tub, there was a huge amount of dust raised which settled on my stuff (including monitor, Maura's laptop, etc.) and the kitchen ceiling will have to be replaced.
Oh, yeah, the landlord stepped off the planking in the bathroom and through the kitchen ceiling. So, need to clean all of the dust/rubble off of shelves, out of stovetop, etc. At least he wasn't hurt and nothing was damaged.
Good news of the day: I figured out how to change my blogger username from "teameborne" to something else. Just keeping putting the past behind me. Got a Christmas card from the ex-mother-in-law and from the ex-brother-in-law's family. Nothing from the ex, which isn't surprising.
Someday I'll get the travel photos from China and Singapore posted. I bought a new laptop which I am still trying to set up and, since I'm not at home most of the time, I don't have internet access. Also, sleep schedule still fubar. A somewhat typical day: wake up at 5am, nap from 4pm to 7pm, stay up until 2am. Though that is changing constantly.
One planned day of work this week. Did my expense reports and talked to one of my bosses. Now to figure out what to do for New Year's. Any suggestions? We are thinking 1 or 2 nights in Philly (kind of lame) or NY (better, but hard to find what we want). Maybe just a 40 of malt liquor and watching the ball drop on TV. Nooooo!
I hope everyone had a Merry/Happy Christmannakuh. Enjoy your New Year responsibly - try to wake up with who you left the house with.

Uggghhh.. sounds like a mess!
I'm thinkin' a 40 of malt might be the way to go!
In any case, welcome home!!
What kind of labtop did you get? Thinking of getting one myself.
Hope you had a decent Christmas that you'll find something fun to do for New Years!
Horst.
Fly to Iowa. Four course dinner with wine pairings just down the street from Casa De Fuller. I'm sure we can find a spot for you and Maura to sleep. We have interweb access too. ;)
Spend some time in a Panera bread. Order a coffee and a danish and then leech off of their free wireless internet access there. Take a book and make a day of it. :)
I second the come to IA statement :D I just came from WM buying party hats for the kids! Now that I have discovered the wonderful affects of Strongbow, I'm good to go!
I also have internet, you would have to fight Chad to get on though, he's a world of warcraft addict right now.
Sorry no Christmas card from us - we didn't send one out. If you come visit I will give you your Christmas gift (we could even put it to use!)

Strongbow? Is this something The Chad has concoted in the bowels of his brewery, or something that I need to go out and buy to try for myself?
Steve - Matt ordered me some when we went to the Hessian House (excuse the phonetic spelling please). I don't drink beer, so Matt ordered Strongbow which is apple cider. I mixed it with some kind of clear soda and got very very giggly and pink in the face :D
Chad needs to brew something - nothing has been brewed in months. Hence his weight loss!

Even better. It's local. :) If you liked Strongbow, track down some Hornsby's or Woodchuck. :) You giggly and pink in the face would be good. :)
